I am looking to speak with a dedicated and experienced Teacher to join an excellent mainstream primary school in North West London. The successful Teacher will provide specialised education to students with special educational needs (SEN) such as Autism (ASC)

The school has a fantastic specialist provision which caters for children across KS1 & KS2 who have a primary diagnosis of ASC and other additional needs. Because of the children's diagnoses in this provision, the school are looking for a strong and passionate Teacher who has kind and nurturing qualities, and solid experience supporting children with SEND.

As the class teacher in this provision, you will have full responsibility of a class of 8-12 children; pupils across KS1 & KS2 are based in this class so having experience working with primary-age children is essential. You will have fantastic support from the Teaching Assistants in the class who are specially trained to assist in behavior management.

You can be assured that you will be welcomed into an inclusive and supportive family-like team and surrounded by multi-disciplinary professionals such as Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Behaviour Specialists and Play/Art/Music Therapists. Everyone is encouraged and supported to develop to their full potential.

Requirements

  • Ability to develop and implement effective teaching strategies for students with diverse needs and abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
