Are you seeking a rewarding role supporting young secondary students, leading a class as a Therapeutic Teacher?
We are working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in the Lambeth to find a Teacher to lead a class of students, teaching them at KS3/KS4 level. Within this role, you will lead the class whilst supported by Behaviour Mentors who will assist you in running various lessons and activities to help the students achieve their own academic and personal development targets.
Requirements of a Therapeutic Teacher:
- SEN qualifications or experience
- To work and support students with Social, Emotional, Mental Health and Challenging behaviour
- To observe, assess and support students referred to the school from mainstream schools and to set strategies and behaviour targets based on reports and observations.
- To work alongside Management, SENCO’s and other faculty
- To be prepared to offer advice to parents and work with them to support their child.
