About the Role

Primary Autism Teacher 

Location: Sutton, South West London
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance
Contract Type: Full, Time - Long-Term - May half-term/September

We are working with a primary school in need of a specialist teacher, to lead and teach the Autism Base on site. At Parker Smith Inclusion, we are people focussed, matching the right candidate to the right school, a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary ASC Teacher is what our setting needs. The school provides high-quality education and support for children with a range of learning difficulties, and a kay diagnosis of Autism.

  • Collaborative Teamwork – Work alongside an experienced and highly skilled multidisciplinary team, including therapists and specialist support staff.

The Primary ASC Teacher  Role:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to primary aged pupils with SEND, ensuring an inclusive and personalised approach to learning.
  • Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that supports both emotional and academic growth.
  • Work closely with families, therapists, and support staff to develop individual learning plans and meet EHCP targets.
  • Champion inclusive education, adapting teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners.

Who will thrive in this Primary ASC Teacher role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – with experience or a passion for SEND education. 
  • Strong Understanding of SEND – Knowledge of autism, communication needs, and social-emotional challenges.

  • Team Player – Willing to work collaboratively within a supportive and dynamic team.
