A Primary Pupil Referral Unit in Central London is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and flexible Primary Teacher to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with young learners who aren’t able to access mainstream education, due to their behavioural, emotional and other additional needs. Students will be on a long or short placement that will return them to mainstream or supporting students who will be moving on to further education or work
About the Role:
- Teach primary-aged students with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, ADHD, and other barriers to learning.
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to individual needs, with a focus on basic skills and social development.
- Use behaviour management strategies to build trust and support pupils in re-engaging with education.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including teaching assistants, therapists, and SEN specialists.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported and motivated to learn.
The Ideal Teacher for this Role:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience in primary education.
- Has experience or a genuine interest in working with children with SEMH needs or complex learning profiles.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to manage challenging behaviour and build positive relationships with pupils.
- Passionate about inclusive education and believes in the potential of every child.

It caters to students from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4 with social, emotional, and mental health needs, and it supports every student through a trauma-informed approach. They are seeking an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to support a children in Key Stage 3 in a 2:1 role. The student is on of the most challenging students in their secondary site, so it is important that the successful candidate has had experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs, this can be professional or personal experience.

We are working with a SEN school that is based in Enfield and are looking for dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join their welcoming team. The school caters to students aged from 3 – 19 years with a range of SEND.
Key Responsibilities Learning Support Assistant
Provide 1:1 and group support to students with SEND, helping them access the curriculum.
Assist with the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
Support students with personal care needs when necessary (e.g., toileting, feeding, dressing).
Use visual aids, Makaton, or other communication tools to support students with communication difficulties.
Promote social interaction, independent learning, and self-esteem in all students.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
Provide a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive emotionally and academically.
Encourage positive behaviour through a consistent and caring approach, in line with the school's behaviour policy.
Support with physical and sensory needs, including helping with the use of specialist equipment where required.
Requirements
Previous experience working in an SEN setting or with children with SEND.
A genuine passion for supporting young people with special needs.
Knowledge of conditions such as ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
Ability to work well as part of a team, following guidance from teachers and other professionals.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different levels of understanding.
Patience, empathy, and a calm approach in challenging situations.
Willingness to undertake training in areas such as Makaton, PECS, or behaviour management strategies (training can be provided).
[Desirable] Relevant qualifications such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma, or training in SEN.
