Are you looking for a new opportunity teaching with a Autism Resource Provision and helping develop it within a mainstream school?

We are working with a fantastic school in Southwark to find a SEN Teacher to lead a class within an autism provision within a mainstream primary school. Within this role you will be teaching a class of up to 8 students whilst supported by multiple SEN TAs. There are two classes within the ARP and the class you will be teaching consists of students who all have autism, with some students having sensory needs and being non-verbal too. The students are learning mainly at KS1 stage, but ages do vary across both KS1 and KS2.

The school offers training in addition the ability to be a critical part of the ARP and potentially manage it in the future. We are working with a fantastic SEND School to find a teacher to teach a class of 6 to 8 students with Autism and PMLD needs whilst supported by several SEND Teaching Assistants. The role would involve leading a class working with a mixture of ages between 16 to 25, working at different levels. The role would be teaching four days a week with the fifth day dedicated to PPA and training. The lecturer in question would may assist in some of the curriculum development – which revolves mainly around independent living, health and relationships.
