We are working with an amazing School in the Lambeth area to find someone to be a SEND Assistant, supporting students aged 11 to 16 with needs such as mild learning difficulties, Autism, ADHD, behavioural needs and anxiety.  

The secondary school is very supportive of staff, taking into consideration any hobbies or interests of their staff to focus their day on lessons where they are most interested, meaning you will be based with needs or a subject which is of interest to you. This is especially good for applicants who enjoy the arts as the school prides itself on this, with a big focus on subjects such as Music, Media, Art, Drama, etc….

The school offers great training, including training to support the progression of its TAs should they wish to pursue a career in teaching. They also will help and advise you regarding where you wish to go with your career ambitions, with progression within the school available for those who seek it.

Within the role, you will work with students with a wide range of needs, supporting them both academically and with their personal development. The school is big on mental health though alongside needs such as this, you will also support needs such as Autism, ADHD, Mild Learning Difficulties and behavioural needs.
