About the Role
SEND Teaching Assistant
Social, Emotional and Mental Health support
LOCATION: Richmond, South West London
START DATE: October half-term
CONTRACT TYPE: Temp – Perm
SALARY: £90 per day PAYE
HOURS: 8:00am – 16:00pm
Start: November

I am seeking a passionate and engaging SEN Nurture Teaching Assistant who wants to provide meaningful and essential support to vulnerable children who require it most!
This is a Nurture Teaching Assistant role working with KS3 students with significant, complex behaviour challenges.
SEND Teaching Assistant Requirements
- Experience working with children/young people with Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties and learning difficulties, speech and communication difficulties or experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, mental health issues
- Learning Support / Teaching Assistant experience
- Ability to be nurturing and caring
- Proactive, flexible and willing approach
- Ability to build rapport with disengaged students
- Patience and understanding of the difficulties surrounding children’s return to school
