Special Educational Needs Teacher
Location: Waltham Forest
Contract: Full-time, Immediate Start
Are you an experienced and qualified Teacher seeking a new challenge or career progression?
Do you have a passion and talent for teaching children with additional needs?
If so, we have an exciting opportunity just for you!
We are actively recruiting creative and engaging teachers for schools in the borough of Waltham Forest. We are looking for passionate educators who are dedicated to working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Autism.
About the Role of Special Educational Needs Teacher:
As a Special Educational Needs Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons to small classes of children with a primary diagnosis of Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome. You will recognise that academic progress is only achievable when a child's fundamental needs are met first. Collaborating with the school’s multidisciplinary therapy team, you’ll help ensure holistic development for each student.
This role is ideal for teachers who possess a natural ability to engage children with SEND diagnoses. You will have the opportunity to create interactive, therapeutic, and meaningful lessons that help students reach their full potential.
Requirements for Special Educational Needs Teacher:
- You should ideally hold QTS or QTLS or have relevant teaching experience.
- Solid experience working with highly vulnerable children, especially those with a diagnosis of Autism/Asperger’s, challenging behaviours, and anxiety disorders is beneficial.
- We welcome applications from all teachers, including those interested in a holistic and therapeutic teaching approach, even if you don’t have extensive experience in this area yet.
Application Process:
