I work with a therapeutic SEN school in Chelmsford, and the school is dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to children in Key Stages 3 and 4 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia. Role Overview
As a Nurture Teacher, you will empower the students in key stage 3 to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You will craft engaging lessons tailored to meet individual children's needs, foster a positive classroom culture, and utilise therapeutic approaches to support emotional regulation and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver dynamic and individualised lessons for Key Stage 3 students with SEMH, including PTSD, ADHD, and attachment disorder; some children have additional needs such as Autism / ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and mild Speech and Language Communication Needs (SLCN). Many children will have mild to moderate learning difficulties.
Implement nurturing and therapeutic strategies to create a supportive learning environment.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalised learning plans.
Provide pastoral care and emotional support to students, promoting their social and emotional development.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS
Experience working with children with SEMH and/or Autism
Strong understanding of therapeutic interventions and nurturing approaches.
Passion for creating inclusive and supportive learning environments.

We are working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Central London that caters for students from primary to year 11 across two sites,. The school provides short- and long-term placements for young people unable to attend mainstream education due to behavioural, social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, as well as additional diagnoses such as ASC and ADHD.
They are seeking an experienced Pastoral Support Mentor to join their team, delivering 1:1 and small group mentoring interventions to students in Key Stage 3. The ideal candidates will already have experience mentoring and supporting young people with behavioural, social and emotional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted intervention and mentoring sessions to support emotional well-being and behaviour.
Build positive relationships to help students develop resilience and coping strategies.
Work with staff and external agencies to create personalised support plans.
Monitor progress and encourage engagement in learning.
Requirements:
Experience working with young people with SEMH needs or in a PRU/SEN setting.
Previous experience mentoring students and delivering interventions
Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
Understanding of trauma-informed practice and restorative approaches.

I am working with an East London AP (Alternative Provision) who are looking for an engaging and passionate Behaviour Mentor for their KS3 class. The children attending this school will be either temporarily or permanently excluded due to challenging and disruptive behaviour, they may or may not have a SEN diagnosis, EHCP (Education Health Care Plan). Pay
We understand that pay is extremely important and it must be clear and simple! For that reason we have chosen to pay our staff via PAYE only. Quoted rates are gross pay and your pay will never involve employer's NI deductions or admin fees.
Just as roles vary, so will the remuneration depending on the role requirements and your experience. You will often see these roles advertised as daily rates, please note that we pay PAYE only and rates will vary from £65 - £90 per day, depending on the role and your experience. Full Time Equivalent salaries are therefore £16,640 - £23,040 Per Annum, please bear in mind that all school based work will be term time only.
