A specialist setting based in Southend needs a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work with primary school students with learning difficulties, Autism, and ADHD. This pupil needs a resilient and robust SEN Teaching Assistant to support their learning and development at school.
Pupil needs are high, and having an understanding and empathy for students struggling with their mental health is an essential quality for this role. As a therapeutic school they have SALTs, OTs and EPs on site that all students have access to. You will be part of an ever developing organisation which is helping young children within the London Borough of Newham.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver and support BTEC Food Technology lessons tailored to individual student needs.
Assist in planning and implementing structured and engaging lesson activities.
Support students in developing practical cooking skills and understanding food safety.
Foster a supportive and understanding relationship with students to encourage confidence and progression.
