We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with a young person in a class-based role. This role is based within a SEMH specialist setting for students who for many reasons, are unable to access mainstream education. You must have a background in Art or Media as the young person is studying this course. We are looking for someone patient, empathetic and with the ability to build strong bonds.
Requirements
● Experience working with young people with SEND and/or Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties and learning difficulties or experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication
● Secondary Teaching Assistant / Learning Mentor / Youth Worker experience
● Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships
● A passion for working with SEND is essential
● Excellent experience and training for aspiring Teachers, Pastoral workers, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Counsellors, and Social Workers

We are currently working alongside a SEND secondary school, they have students from yr 7 - yr 13 with moderate to severe learning difficulties and a range of complex needs, including autism.
