I am working with one of the first SEN High Schools in the UK whose ethos is based on this theory which believes and teaches that almost all behaviour is internal rather than driven by external forces and we are motivated to satisfy five needs in life. Survival, belonging, power, freedom and fun. All members of staff at this SEN School will complete training in this fantastic theory to help them support the SEN students and contribute to the school’s aspirational and empowering movement. They are looking to appoint a number of 1:1 Learning Mentors to join their permanent staff team.

- Students learn valuable life skills that will be essential to them in the future including cooking and budgeting
- Recognises that we all learn differently and each SEN student is individual so flexibility is key and education is tailored to the pupils’ needs
- As a 1:1 Learning Mentor, you will support students to pursue a fresh start from past mistakes
- A nurturing family feel with a supportive and dedicated Headteacher
- Extra Support staff in each classroom so each of the individual student’s requirements can be met
