SEN Experience Vital

I am working with an amazing mainstream primary school. The role will be to provide support on a 1:1 basis with a gentle, non-verbal, autistic child who will need support to settle into school, learn to communicate, e.g. through techniques such as intensive interaction and attention autism as well as taking lots of advice from the speech and language therapy service. The Learning Support Assistant should be an energetic and enthusiastic person whilst being nurturing and capable of delivering interventions effectively. This is a busy busy role involving physical and emotional needs, with communication high on the agenda, as verbal communication is only just developing (lots of speech therapy, learning Makaton, using a communication book) and some personal care. The role is also a shared role - so you'll be working with another LSA to support this child whilst also having the opportunity to spend time with other students 1:1. This is an amazing opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant looking for a new opportunity and looking to build their experience in supporting children with SEN needs whilst building a bond with this one-of-a-kind young lady.

The Ideal Learning Support Assistant Should:

  • have experience working with primary children and early years.
  • have experience with students with Autism
  • be dedicated to supporting students with SEN.
  • have a fun and engaging personality.
  • have a nurturing approach.

Why choose this Learning Support Assistant role? Here are some fantastic benefits:

  • Enjoy a daily rate of £90 PAYE - £100 PAYE, providing you with financial stability while making a difference in the lives of these amazing children.
  • Receive outside training to support SEN children and develop your career!
  • Consistent Schedule: Work from Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4pm, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
  • Enjoy your holidays and breaks with loved ones, as this role follows the academic calendar.
  • Harness your creativity to create engaging and interactive learning experiences for the children, making every day a new adventure.
  • Join a well-established school with a reputation for excellence, providing you with a supportive and nurturing environment to thrive.
