1:1 SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT WANTED – HAVERING

A wonderful primary school in Havering is searching for a dedicated, passionate, and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child with high needs starting primary school this September.

This is a challenging yet rewarding position that would prove invaluable experience for a graduate looking to move into a career in SEN education, or an intriguing new opportunity for those already working in a school or nursery looking to move into a career in SEN.

With an emphasis on caring for young children so that they feel valued and safe as they move through their lives, this school wants its staff to feel just as valued and confident in their work! The ideal candidate should be…

  • A caring, nurturing, and unique person
  • Comfortable working with a non-verbal/pre-verbal child
  • Familiar with Cache Level 3, but this is not essential.
  • Comfortable doing personal care of young children, which may include help with social welfare, care and health matters, including toileting, dressing, feeding, mobility etc.
  • Searching for a role with great transport links across the area
  • Looking for a competitive and fair wage – we don’t use umbrella companies, and all positions are PAYE
