I am working with a lovely Mainstream school who are looking for a Teaching assistant to work 1:1 with children who have been diagnosed with Autism, ADHD or who have MLD (mild learning difficulties).

The school is a vibrant, inclusive learning community and a wonderful place to work and learn. At its heart is the vision to prepare children for lifelong learning. The achievement and progress of our pupils at the end of Key Stage Two are above the national average, often significantly so. This success is largely due to our emphasis on early reading and our excellent early years provision, which lay a strong foundation for learning.

We are looking for nurturing, intelligent, and vibrant individuals who are skilled in supporting children with additional needs. If you are passionate about making a positive impact and helping children thrive, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and assistance to students with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs
  • Build strong relationships with students and earn their trust
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to implement individualised support plans
  • Assist in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Encourage students to engage with their learning and develop essential skills

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
  • DBS - if you do not have one we can assist you
  • Ability to build rapport with students and establish positive relationships
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in supporting students with diverse needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

If you're passionate about supporting students with SEN and making a positive impact in their lives, we want to hear from you!

Join our dedicated team and be part of a supportive environment where every contribution counts. Together, we can empower students to thrive and succeed!
