Here at Parker Smith Inclusion we are working with a number of Challenging Behaviour, Alternative Provision's and PRUS and they are always on the look out for fantastic Behaviour Mentor's to join their teams!

The role of a Behaviour Mentor:

You will be working 1:1 or in a group setting with a child and/or children that have behavioural needs due to SEN or Challenging Backgrounds (home life, mental health etc) . It is your duty to support and assist where possible to keep the child calm and improve their ability to express their emotions. Some duties will be as follows:

  • On hand support for Educational needs
  • Involved with interventions and safeguarding
  • Communication with the family/caregivers
  • Holistic and therapeutic approach to improving the child's needs
  • Pro-active and able to use own initiative to complete day-to-day tasks

The Ideal Behaviour Mentor would have experience in:

  • A special and/or challenging behaviour school
  • Experience with ADHD, Autism, Mental Health, Anxiety
  • Youth work or community work with vulnerable children
  • Ability to de-escalate challenging situations
