Are you keen to make a difference in the lives of children and young people whilst building your experience and furthering your career in SEN?
I work with an excellent special needs school in the borough of Hillingdon. I am looking for a passionate and dedicated Care Worker who is looking to make the transition into a school-based position supporting children with SEN, this role would be to start long-term and would be a full-time position (term time only).
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to gain practical and clinical experience working with all age groups (2 - 19 years old) students, 1:1 and in group settings.
What you can expect as a Care Worker - School-Based:

Your role will be to support students with special educational needs; however, the role will vary from day to day; you will be expected to use your initiative and respond calmly in challenging situations

For aspiring Teachers, Pastoral Workers, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, SALTs, Counsellors, and Social Workers, these positions will offer a relevant and vital experience for your chosen career path

What would you require for this position:

GCSEs and above
-
Passion for working with young people who require additional support in order to access education and social development

Ideally, previous experience (formal or informal) supporting children with Autism or other special educational needs

A proactive, positive individual who always strives to meet children's learning needs.

Ability to build rapport with children
