Care Worker - School Based

  • Opportunity to work with children with Special Educational Needs

  • Term time only

  • £450 - £500 PAYE Per Week

  • Autism / ASC, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

  • Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4 pm

Are you keen to make a difference in the lives of children and young people whilst building your experience and furthering your career in SEN?

I work with an excellent special needs school in the borough of Hillingdon. I am looking for a passionate and dedicated Care Worker who is looking to make the transition into a school-based position supporting children with SEN, this role would be to start long-term and would be a full-time position (term time only).

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to gain practical and clinical experience working with all age groups (2 - 19 years old) students, 1:1 and in group settings.

What you can expect as a Care Worker - School-Based:

  • Your role will be to support students with special educational needs; however, the role will vary from day to day; you will be expected to use your initiative and respond calmly in challenging situations

  • For aspiring Teachers, Pastoral Workers, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, SALTs, Counsellors, and Social Workers, these positions will offer a relevant and vital experience for your chosen career path

  • Continued Professional Development – This school has 5x more CPD than their surrounding school

  • A long-term contract with an opportunity to transition into a permanent contract

  • To work in a highly reputable special needs school in North West London.

What would you require for this position:

  • GCSEs and above

  • Passion for working with young people who require additional support in order to access education and social development

  • Ideally, previous experience (formal or informal) supporting children with Autism or other special educational needs

  • A proactive, positive individual who always strives to meet children's learning needs.

  • Ability to build rapport with children
