Are you passionate about teaching culinary skills to students in a supportive and therapeutic environment? Parker Smith Inclusion has partnered with a new SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and trauma-based therapeutic school in South Woodham Ferrers, and we're seeking a dedicated Catering Teacher to join their team.

Salary: £31,000 to £40,000

 

The School: All of the pupils have education, health and care (EHC) plans for their adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. This is a brand new site for an established and "outstanding" group of schools

 

About the Role: As a Catering Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to teach and inspire students with SEMH needs, utilizing innovative teaching methods to engage learners in practical cooking and catering skills. You'll work collaboratively with the school's multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, where students can develop valuable life skills alongside their academic studies.

 

Requirements:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)/QTLS or teacher training with experience teaching catering or related subjects.
  • Passion for working with students with SEMH needs and a commitment to their holistic development.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners in a therapeutic setting.
