Early Years Speech and Language Teacher - SLCN Specialist School 

Are you a specialist Teacher with early years experience and knowledge and understand of speech and language communication needs?

SLCN Specialist Provision

This brand new primary provision for reception and KS1 pupils will be part of a SLCN specialist school and part of a wider special school trust in South West London

The school is a special school for learners ranging from reception to KS4 and they are opening a brand new primary assessment provision in September 2021.

The provision will be for children who have identified Speech and Language Needs and who can benefit from both SLCN teaching and SALT interventions. The students may or may not have or need an EHCP and will be assessed as to the correct pathway for them whether that be mainstream, an additionally resourced provision or a specialist SLCN school. 

Early Years Speech and Language Teacher requirements 

  • QTS or equivalent essential 
  • Qualifications or training in SLCN 
  • Excellent track record of teaching EYFS learners 
  • Commitment to inclusion
  • Working knowledge of varied EYFS and KS1 assessment systems

This role would suit Teachers from a mainstream background or previous SEND school experience.
