Early years Teaching Assistant

Lambeth

Pay: £75-£85 PAYE

Do you have a passion and talent for supporting children and young people with special educational needs?

An outstanding mainstream primary school in Lambeth are looking for an experienced and dedicated Early years Teaching Assistant to work with a student with quite complex needs. The child has ASD, limited language and some personal care is required.

Early years Teaching Assistant requirements

  • The Early Years Teaching Assistant should have a passion for working with young people who require additional support to access education and social development
  • Ideally The Early Years Teaching Assistant should have previous experience (formal or informal) in supporting children with autism or other special educational needs
  • The ideal The Early Teaching Assistant should be proactive and positive individual who is always striving to meet children's learning needs.
  • The Early years Teaching Assistant should have the ability to build rapport with children

What you can expect as an Early years Teaching Assistant

  • Your role as an Early years Teaching Assistant will be to support a child with special educational needs however the role will vary from day to day, you will be expected to use your initiative and respond calmly in challenging situations
  • You will have an opportunity to make a huge social impact, as a specialist Early years Teaching Assistant you would change the path of a child's life.
