Are you an experienced English Teacher looking for a new exciting opportunity in a ASD school?

The school is an independent ASD specialist school based in Enfield, they offer education to children aged from 7 – 17 years who have high-functioning ASD, the students are academically able and are working on the mainstream curriculum that is designed and delivered according to the needs of the learner.
English Teacher Role;
The successful English Teacher for this role will prepare, plan and deliver lessons, to teach students according to their educational needs, to be able to use teaching strategies to engage and challenge students and to monitor and support the overall progress and development of the students.
The ideal candidate would have previous experience in supporting children or young adults with ASD. You will have a passion and purpose to want to make a difference to children’s lives and to provide a safe learning environment for children living with autism and other challenges. Ideally, the school are looking for a teacher with previous experience teaching students with autism but mainstream teachers are welcome to apply as with the schools outstanding CPD programme and specialist SEMD training.
Requirements for English Teacher Roles;
- The passion to teach and inspire young people
- QTS or QTLS – if unqualified then proven experience
- Experience working with students with ASD or other SEND needs either in mainstream or SEND settings
- A nurturing, patient, empathetic and holistic approach
