A specialist SEMH school are recruiting Graduate Behaviour Mentors to working with children with trauma and mental health problems. Many of these children and young people have been excluded from their mainstream school due to their behaviour and require specialist support to aid their reintegration back into mainstream.
The ideal Graduate Behaviour Mentor may be/have…
- A relevant qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Criminology, or related fields.
- Practical experience working with children and young people with dysregulated or challenging physical and verbal behaviours.
- Ability to relate to young people and provide specialised and individualised support.
- Trauma informed approach.
- Understanding of children and young people’s mental health.
- A background/interest in sports (desirable)
