Position: Graduate Teaching Assistant

Start Date: Immediate Start - will continue into the new academic year - Can start in September

Location: Havering

Salary: £80-£90 per day PAYE

 

About the School:

This is a fantastic mainstream school in the heart of Havering. This school is fantastic at supporting Teaching Assistants at the start of their career, with the vision to progress through the Education system into Teachers. The school is a Teacher training school, so if you are seeking to become a teacher in the future, then this position would be perfect for you as the school likes to pull from its support staff team to train them up and progress their careers 

 

Requirements of the Graduate Teaching Assistant:

· An undergraduate degree in Education, any Core Subject or Social Science Subject

· A strong passion for working in Education

· Aspirations to become a teacher or other Education Professional e.g. Educational Psychologist

· A keen interest in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

 

About the role of a Graduate Teaching Assistant

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you can expect no two days to be the same! You will be supporting multiple pupils, many of which whom have Special Educational Needs. You will be working 1:1 and providing interventions to support multiple pupils.

Behaviour management is also a key element of your role, and you can expect to receive relevant training on this, e.g. Team Teach training.
