The Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with a range of needs and challenging behaviors. Working closely with teaching staff and other professionals, you will provide one-on-one and small group support to ensure that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs (SEN) across all levels.
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt and differentiate classroom activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN and challenging behavior is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training.
