Maths Intervention Lead – Croydon

Do you have SEMH experience within a secondary setting and a great knowledge of mathematics?

Have you experience of teaching Maths/Numeracy Functional Skills?

Are you looking for a permanent position for this September?

 

We are seeking candidates with effective classroom management and a passion for teaching Maths/Numeracy.

This school is a SEMH provision based in Croydon - The ideal candidate will be resilient, patient, engaging and have the ability to build rapport with vulnerable children. If you are looking to join a school with a therapeutic approach, this is the setting for you! The school offers a number of therapies such as horticulture and animal, plus it is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in a restorative environment. The school successfully practices restoration which recognises that every student, when their conditions are met, have the capability to grow and develop to what is ultimately their full potential.

 

Maths Intervention Lead requirements:

  • You do not need QTS for this role, however relevant intervention experience and strong classroom presence is essential.
  • Experience of working with children/young people with Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties and learning difficulties, speech and communication difficulties or experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, mental health issues is necessary.
  • You must have the ability to be nurturing and caring and the ideal candidate will also be proactive and flexible.
  • Must be able to build rapport with disengaged students.
