We are working in partnership with a prestigious SEMH school in the East London area, The school is looking for a Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team. This position is full-time (term-time only) and is to start as soon as possible.
Highlights:
- Mental Health Teaching Assistant
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 (hours could be shorter depending on the school)
- Supporting children with social emitonal and mental health
- Promoting pupils’ wellbeing
- ASAP start
- £75 - £90 PAYE, weekly payment
Ideal SEMH Mental Health Teaching Assistant:
- Graduates who studied either Psychology, Criminology, Education Studies or Creative Arts are welcome to apply!
- Has experience working with children and young people with special needs
- Has personal interests in supporting children and young people with special needs
- A positive, proactive, and patient individual who has a can-do attitude and is willing to learn
- A team player and has excellent communication skills
- Being able to build up good working relationships with students and staff
SEMH Mental Health Teaching Assistant’s Main Responsibilities:
- Supporting children and young people with Social Emotional Mental Health
- Assisting the class teacher with planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities as well as monitoring and assessing children’s achievement and progress
- Actively involved in a wide range of activities, promoting the physical, cognitive, cultural, social, and emotional wellbeing of the pupils
