Mental Health Teaching Assistant - British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2

  • Location: CAMHS School, London Borough of Wandsworth, South West London
  • Focus: Supporting deaf or hearing-impaired children and young people with complex mental health needs 
  • Daily Rate: £90 - £110 PAYE Per Day; Weekly Payment
  • Start Date: ASAP

As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you'll be at the forefront of guiding and nurturing young minds. Your role will involve providing invaluable educational support to students who are deaf and dealing with a spectrum of complex mental health needs, including anxiety, PTSD, trauma, eating disorders, personality disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, self-harming behaviours, and suicidal attempts.

 

Ideal Mental Health Teaching Assistant

  • A Psychology Graduate or equivalent degree
  • Minimum BSL Level 2 qualification
  • Must have good knowledge and experience supporting children with complex mental health needs
  • Aspiring clinical psychologist, mental health nurse, or mental health practitioner
  • A compassionate and empathetic nature to foster trust and build meaningful connections
  • Flexibility, resilience, and adaptability in a dynamic and diverse environment
