One-to-One Teaching Assistant

  • Working Hours: 8:30am - 4pm

About the school

This creative and nurturing school is committed to providing exceptional education and support to students with SEN, particularly with Autism/ASC and associated learning difficulties. They are dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where students' unique needs are understood and catered to.

The Role 

We are seeking a dedicated  One-to-One Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a teenage girl diagnosed with Autism (ASC) and Non-Epileptic Attack Disorder (NEAD). Due to challenges exacerbated by the pandemic, she hasn't had access to education and requires someone to provide tailored support to help her re-engage with learning. Your role will involve building a trusting and supportive relationship, facilitating her access to education, and supporting her emotional and academic needs.

Requirements:

  • Strong background and knowledge in SEN, particularly in complex mental health needs
  • Experience working with young people with Autism and related conditions
  • Ability to cultivate a nurturing, patient, and understanding environment
  • Skill in developing meaningful and supportive relationships with students
  • Commitment to ensuring the well-being and academic progress of the student
