Contract: Permanent, part-time

Pay: £24,000 - £38,000 (based on experience and Qualified Teacher Status)

Is QTS required: Not essential, Sports/PE knowledge is essential as well as a positive approach to SEND, Yoga teacher/knowledge is beneficial

Why is this PE Teacher role required?

I am working with a SEND school for pupils with SEMH and ASD, based in North London, High Barnet. The school is seeking a PE Teacher to join their permanent staff team. This is initially a 2 day per week role and for teachers who can offer either PSHE, Maths, or Geography, there are more days available

This brand new and growing school is headed by a wonderfully inspiring Headteacher who supports and leads her dynamic and diverse staff team to enable them to be the best educators for the children who attend the school. They will consider teachers with or without QTS; as long as there is relevant experience with a positive approach to teaching children with severe anxiety and other associated needs, you will be considered!

The children you will support will have been unable to attend school for a significant time due to severe anxiety. If you are committed to making a difference in SEND and have a talent for working with children who require nurture and encouragement, we want to hear from you!

 

PE Teacher requirements:

  • Experience of working with young people with SEMH, Autism, anxiety, sensory processing, social communication
  • PE Teacher/PE Teacher experience
  • Yoga teacher/knowledge
  • Available to start work in September
  • Ability to build solid and meaningful relationships and be a role model
  • A passion for working with SEND is essential
