If you are an experienced PE Teacher/PE Coach looking for a new challenge working within a Pupil Referral Unit, this is the role for you!
I am working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Thurrock, Essex, who are looking for a PE Teacher/Coach to join their fantastic team. The school offers education to students at a secondary age who are not able to attend mainstream education. The needs of the students include challenging behaviour, social, emotional and mental health needs and other additional SEN.
PRU PE Teacher role
- Teaching in a setting with a likeminded and supportive team
- Teaching students PE who have challenging behaviour and SEMH needs
- Building strong and meaningful relationships
- Able to deliver the PE curriculum to key stage 3 & 4
- To offer a therapeutic teaching approach
- Long-term to permanent opportunities
PRU PE Teacher requirements
- Qualified Teacher or proven experience of teaching GCSE to Key Stage 4
- Experience teaching within a PRU or mainstream school supporting challenging behaviour
- Experience of delivering PE as well as teaching theory
