The school offers a wide range of therapies including Music, Drama, Play, Integrative, SALT, Occupational, Educational Psychology and CAHMS.
What you can expect as a Play Therapist
As a Play Therapist you will have previously worked with children and young people who present challenging behaviour and who have complex social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will work therapeutically both one to one and in small groups. You will also offer structured weekly sessions as well as sessions in the moment when therapy is required.
Play Therapist Requirements
- Fully qualified and registered with appropriate BACP
- A range of experience in your own specialism but also an understand of wider therapies
- Experienced in settings working with children with SEND and complex needs
- Understanding of mental health in children including (ACE), attachment behaviour, trauma and the impact of abuse
- Strong leadership skills
