Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher?

Are you a primary or secondary teacher interested in moving into SEN from the new academic year?

We are looking for Specialist SEND Teachers for a variety of SEN specialist settings to teach Pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties and who have complex learning needs. In addition to very severe learning difficulties, pupils can have other significant difficulties, such as physical disabilities, sensory impairment, or a severe medical condition.

The successful PMLD Teacher will have experience of teaching pupils with special educational needs, particularly with Complex Needs and Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

What we are looking for:

  • PMLD Class Teachers for specialist SEND schools and settings

  • Experience teaching SEND pupils with Complex Needs and Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

  • Individuals committed to making a significant and positive impact on the lives of their students and who are driven to further improve standards across schools, impacting the students' success.

  • Teaching and providing interactive and multi-sensory lessons, as well as working closely with the multidisciplinary team and other staff

  • Experience working in a special educational needs school is not essential. We have excellent opportunities for Teachers to extend their continuous professional development and develop skills in special education.

What you can expect from these roles:

  • To work collaboratively with all departments to deliver innovative curriculum designed to motivate and stretch students to achieve their best possible learning outcomes.

  • To teach in specialist settings using a nurturing, holistic and child-centred approach.

  • Pupils require a high level of adult support, they are likely to need high levels of sensory stimulation. Students will have a broad and balanced curriculum suited to their individual needs and how they learn.

  • To teach in specialist schools with excellent staffing ratios, small class sizes and a highly personalised approach to learning

PMLD Teacher Requirements

  • Although some of our teaching roles require QTS/QTLS, we want to hear from all Teachers, regardless of their qualifications!

  • The passion to teach pupils with Complex Needs and Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
