Primary School Teaching Assistant

- £425 - £450 per week paid PAYE
I am working with a lovely mainstream primary school who are seeking a Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with SEND to join their passionate and hard-working team.
The school caters for students between 3-11 years and they have a high percentage of SEND pupils within the school; some pupils are awaiting placement in specialist SEND schools in the area.
The ideal Primary Teaching Assistant:
- Has experience working with autism, SLCN, non-verbal students, and associated complex needs
- Knowledge of PECS/Makaton
- Can manage challenging behavior calmly and professionally – intervention/restraint training is beneficial
- Experience working with Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties
- Can build and maintain relationships with staff and students
- Will go above and beyond to change the lives of young people
