Here at Parker Smith Inclusion I am working with a Outstanding Secondary Girls School in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets that are looking for a HLTA. You will need to work collaboratively with teaching staff and share responsibility with the team to support the education of the pupils. 

Requirements

The right candidate will be an individual that can be pro-active and work to their own initiative, with empathy and understanding for the students. This is a great role for the progression from an experienced Teaching Assistant into more responsibilities . 

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant within SEND for 3 years or more 
  • Ability to provide examples of when you have been asked to do more responsibilities than a standard TA 
  • Ability to be diverse and work well within teams 
  • Passion and commitment to the role 
  • NVQ or CACHE Qualifications (bonus) 
  • Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/work plan as appropriate 
  • To plan and deliver targeted interventions 
  • Liaising with the SENDCO and Assistant SENDCO 
  • Using Behaviour management strategies, in line with the Schools policy and procedures 
  • To plan and deliver formal meetings, with parents and staff to discuss students reviews 
  •
