SLCN Specialist Provision

This Secondary provision for SLCN specialist school in South West London is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate teacher to join them in September!

The school is a special school for learners ranging from reception to KS4 and they are seeking a qualified teacher to join their permanent staff team.

The provision will be for children who have identified Speech and Language Needs and who can benefit from both SLCN teaching and SALT interventions. The students will have an EHCP for SLCN and cognitively able but working lower than their expected age.

Secondary Speech and Language Teacher requirements 

  • QTS or equivalent essential 
  • Passion for SEND or alternative education
  • Qualifications or training in SLCN - beneficial 
  • Excellent track record of teaching secondary or primary age
  • Ability to teach English - beneficial as you can lead on your specialist subject
  • Commitment to inclusion
  • Working knowledge of secondary curriculum
