Do you have a passion and talent for supporting children and young people who cannot access mainstream education and mental health disorders?

Parker Smith Inclusion have an opening for an experienced Primary Teaching Assistant to support a class in a SEMH specialist setting that provides education to children who are unable to be educated in a mainstream school due to behaviour difficulties. The position is working within the Primary department supporting behaviour and learning in class settings. 

Even if your experience is informal/voluntary, I want to hear from you! The children you will support will have a variety of needs which can include significant complex behaviour challenges.

SEMH Primary TA requirements:

  • Experience of working with young people with SEMH, Autism, behavioural issues, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication
  • Knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
  • Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships
  • A passion for working with SEND is essential
