Do you have a passion for working with children?

Do you have what it takes to be a great SEN Teaching Assistant?

Are you looking to work in a friendly, inclusive school that offers great support?

The role

I am looking for a Teaching Assistant seeking a new opportunity to work in a fantastic primary school based in Romford. This school really believes that every young person in the school is part of something inspirational. They really are proud of the achievements of every single pupil and pride themselves as a centre of excellence. This role is split 50/50 between working 1:1 with a child with SEN  and working as a general class TA.

The child is in year 4 and has autism. He is very friendly and has a great personality, however, he can sometimes get dysregulated.

Other duties will include assisting with the planning of activities, monitoring pupils’ progress, intervening when necessary, providing relevant feedback to the classroom teacher, and performing general Teaching Assistant duties.

 The ideal candidate

The successful Teaching Assistant for this role must have a genuine passion for working with young, vulnerable people. You should be empathetic, kind and keen to learn! If you have previous experience working with SEN, this would be highly beneficial! The Teaching Assistant should be a positive role model and spread positivity! Having the ability to build a good rapport both with young people and the classroom teacher would be most beneficial as good relationships are key to succeed as a Teaching Assistant.
