This warm and welcoming school are seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. Based in Sutton, this wonderful school provides for pupils aged 4-19 with severe learning disabilities (SLD), some of whom are Autistic or have significant social and emotional difficulties which affect their ability to cope with daily activities. Some students have limited mobility and use wheelchairs, so experience supporting students with physical disabilities is highly desirable.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' individual needs, including academic, social, emotional, and physical development.
The ideal SEN Learning Support Assistant:
- Have experience working with children and young people with Autism/ASC and complex needs (professionally or personally)
- Ideally have knowledge and experience in supporting students with physical disabilities and mobility issues, including wheelchair users
- May have worked as a care worker or care assistant
- May have relevant qualifications and/or degrees such as Health and Social Care, Psychology, Criminology, or Nursing
- Aspiring educational psychologists, therapists, or educators
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and parents
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude toward supporting students with diverse needs
