Parker Smith Inclusion is working in partnership with a trust of specialist independent schools who are currently looking for Teaching Assistants to join them at their Croydon based school.
The schools within this trust provide a specialist education for children & young people with SEN and SEMH needs including communication difficulties, ASC, SLCN, ADHD & Complex learning needs. They pride themselves on their small class sizes, ensuring that every student receives the individualised support they ned to excel.
The school provides a highly personalised and purposeful curriculum which enables pupils at the schools to participate in a wide range of academic, creative, sporting and vocational learning opportunities and activities.
About the role:
- You will be working with a range of young people aged between 5-19 years old supporting them through their education journey, not just academically but socially and emotionally as well
- Providing support both inside and outside of the classroom
- Helping to set up activities for students, using technology or adjusting the environment to suit their needs
- Supporting teachers, engaging with students, providing learning support, reacting to situations in the classroom in a positive, non-disruptive manner
- Working one-to-one or two-to-one with some students
