SEN Teaching Assistant - All-through SEND school

  • Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire

  • £450 - £480 per week PAYE

  • Monday to Friday

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work with young people with autism and other associated needs in the Hemel Hempstead area. The role includes weekly training and the chance to work alongside a wide range of students in the classroom environment, making it an excellent opportunity for both trainees/graduates and applicants with previous experience.

You’ll be working with young people aged 3 to 19 and helping them with individual targets and skills with a focus on supporting independence, improved behaviour and social interaction. The aim is to support the students going into the next stages of their education. Building solid relationships with the pupils is very important as you will be on hand to provide emotional, behavioural and academic support.

The school caters for children that are aged between 3 and 19. They promote a healthy lifestyle for their students and encourage the development of their social skills and core skills. They work alongside parents and carers to ensure their students have the best environment possible to thrive in, with an emphasis on making them feel included in the local and broader community.
