Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant? Have you supported anyone with Speech and Language Communication Needs (SLCN)?
Do you have a positive mindset and a passion for supporting children and young people?
I am working with an exceptional specialist school in Camden seeking a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join their passionate and hard-working team. The school provides an excellent education for children who have EHCP with a diagnosis of Speech and Language Communication Needs. Many children also have Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and other associated learning difficulties.
I have visited this school and was truly amazed at how welcoming and supportive the team were. The students love coming to school, and it was a heart-warming experience, seeing how the staff interact and make learning a fun experience. You will be supported by a multi-disciplinary team; from Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists.
The ideal Speech and Language Teaching Assistant
- Has experience working with Autism, SLCN, ADHD, Dyslexia, and associated complex needs
- Can manage dysregulated behaviour in a calm and professional manner
- Can build and maintain meaningful relationships with staff and students
- Will go above and beyond to change the lives of young people
