Parker Smith Inclusion are currently working with an Autism Research Program tthat will provide therapy sessions to children aged 3-11 who have a diagnosis of Autism. All children you will be working with attend this school and this service will act as an additional layer to further aid their development. The service will provide therapy all year round and you will have the opportunity to be part of a talented multidisciplinary team made up of Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Play/Drama, and Art Therapists. As part of your role you will also provide outreach support to an East London school for SEMH and thus further build your skills and experience! 

This is a very exciting opportunity for a qualified Speech Therapist to be part of a permanent staff team at a program in Merton! This is your chance to start a role at the service's inception and become part of a pioneering offer with 2 exceptional professionals at the helm!

Responsible for: Delivery of Speech and Language Therapy and Speech and Language assessments. Speech and Language therapy forms part of the service's multi-disciplinary team to drive forward programmes of development and rehabilitation.

As a Speech Therapist, you will provide direct clinical care which will encompass Speech and Language Therapy assessments, treatment and management of needs extended to life at home. You will assess, implement and develop treatment programmes according to diagnosis and identified needs.

 

Speech and Language Therapy hours and contract:

  • Full time – all year

  • Permanent, business hours

  • ASAP start

  • Salaries in line with NHS Agenda for change banding

 

Candidate should be/have:

  • A registered Speech and Language Therapist with the HCPC (Health Care Professions Council) or registration in process.

  • Paediatric experience.

  • A passion to work in Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy.

  • An understanding of Speech and Language Therapy process/interventions.

  • Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.

  • Resilience and an ability to manage difficult situations.

  • Ideally a car driver
