Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT)

Here at Parker Smith Inclusion I am working with indenpendant Primary School that are seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) to join a well-established based in the London borough of Tower Hamlets. You will be working directly with young pupils all diagnosed with ASD, challenging behaviors and other complex needs within a lovely SEN Department with a ton of support from the SENCo an other SEND TA's. 

  • Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT)
  • Working with children and young people with Autism/ASC and moderate to severe learning disabilities
  • Salaries in line with NHS Band Scales
  • Part time hours

Ideal Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT):

  • Must be HCPC registered
  • Has a degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
  • Has experience working with children and young people with special needs, particularly with Autism/ASC and Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
  • Has personal interests in supporting children and young people with special needs
  • A positive, proactive, and patient individual who can build good working relationships with children, teachers, parents, and carers
  • A team player and has great communication skills

Speech and Language Therapist's Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing both individual and group speech and language therapy services to children
  • Attending and contributing to staff meetings and Annual Review meetings
  • Working closely with the rest of the multidisciplinary team, as well as teachers and support staff
  • Providing a creative and nurturing learning environment where children can reach their potential
  • Being fully aware of the school policy and implementing Health and Safety Regulations, including Risk Assessment
