About the School and Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant opportunity

The small and friendly primary school is based in Havering quite close to the Essex border.  The school have an excellent track record of training teachers and have a wonderful and supportive SLT. 

As a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant you will support a year 4 student who has ADHD and has spent a lot of time in and out of the classroom. This particular student needs a strong Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant who can take the time to build rapport and a relationship and help them to regulate their behaviour and emotions. 

The role will be to support the child for the full academic year with a permanent SEN Teaching Assistant contract available for the right individual. 

Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant requirements

  • Passionate about supporting students with SEND
  • Emotional resilience and previous experience working with children/young people with SEMH/ASD/ADHD
  • Committed to personal development and learning specialist skills
  • Proactive and flexible
  • Ability to be a team player and build rapport quickly
