About the Role

We’re collaborating with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream school in Havering, looking for enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join their team. This role is within their dedicated Additional Resource Provision (ARP), a specialised area of the school that provides tailored support for students with ASD. With purpose-built classrooms and sensory-friendly spaces, the ARP offers a calm, structured environment to help children succeed outside the larger mainstream setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside experienced SEN teachers and support staff to deliver individualised learning plans that promote both academic growth and social-emotional development.
  • Lead and support children in activities designed to build communication, language, and social interaction skills.
  • Collaborate with external professionals, such as Speech and Language Therapists and Educational Psychologists, to optimise each child’s learning experience.
  • Assist pupils with transitions between the ARP and mainstream classes, encouraging positive interactions and inclusion within the school community.

Do You Have:

  • Experience in an SEN or ASD-support role, or a strong personal background supporting children with ASD?
