I am working with a wonderful SEND school based in North London that is looking for experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to join its supportive and inclusive team. They are looking for suitable candidates who have experience supporting young people with complex needs, the main need in the classroom is autism. The successful candidate must have expereince as an HLTA and be able to cover the class when needed. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for Higher Level Teaching Assistants who are looking to work in an SEND school long-term with permanent opportunities and also offer progression and development throughout the school.

Requirements of a Higher Level Teaching Assistant 

  • Previous experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
  • Qualifications as a HLTA or proven experience 
  • Can cover the class when the teacher is absent 
  • Previous experience working with Autism and ADHD or other SEND 
  • A friendly and positive person with a resilient personality
  • A real passion for supporting young people with SEND and looking for a long-term role
