We are working with a brand-new and rapidly growing SEND school in West London, and they are on the lookout for a talented Primary SEND Teacher to join their team this September. You’ll be teaching a small, well-supported class of pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and additional Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). Whether you’re an experienced SEND teacher or an EYFS specialist keen to take your first steps into a SEND environment, this role could be a brilliant next step.

This is a full-time class teacher position, supporting a small group of Key Stage 1 and 2 learners. All pupils are pre-verbal and follow a sensory-based curriculum, where lessons often involve music, colour, movement, and exploration through touch, sound, and visuals.

As the class teacher, you’ll be responsible for:

Planning and delivering engaging, multi-sensory lessons tailored to pupils’ individual needs
Leading a team of experienced support staff in your classroom
Collaborating closely with therapists and other professionals as part of an integrated approach
Tracking progress and celebrating every achievement, no matter how big or small

You’re a fully qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent). You bring creativity, warmth, and resilience to your teaching. You may have experience working in an SEND school, but equally, you might be an EYFS or early primary teacher with a flair for sensory and play-based learning looking to transition into SEND. You’re confident in your ability to create an inclusive, nurturing classroom where every child feels safe and supported. You’re committed to building strong relationships with pupils, families, and the wider school community.

The school is a purpose-built, well-resourced SEND primary school, designed with specialist spaces including hydrotherapy facilities and dedicated sensory rooms. They have a strong and supportive leadership team with a commitment to high-quality CPD. The school is inclusive and child-centred, with a genuine focus on staff wellbeing. There is high staff retention and a positive, professional working culture. There is also potential for a temp-to-perm contract depending on pupil numbers in September.
