The SEMH Teacher Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable, and compassionate teachers to join the therapeutic teaching team.

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students while catering to their individual needs.
  • Foster a safe and nurturing classroom environment that encourages students’ personal and academic growth.
  • Work collaboratively with therapists and other staff to support students’ holistic development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, celebrating achievements and identifying areas for development.
  • Actively participate in the wider life of the school, including co-curricular activities and community engagement.

About you as a SEMH Teacher

You are an educator with a passion for making a difference and supporting students with SEMH needs. Your qualifications include:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE) with experience or an interest in working with SEMH learners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and resilience in managing challenging situations.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive, inspiring, and supportive learning environment.
  • Creativity, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit.
