Primary SEN Teaching Assistant - Ofsted Outstanding School - Morden

ASAP Start

£450 - £500 PAYE Per Week

I am recruiting on behalf of an Ofsted Outstanding special school for Early Years and Primary students with a range of complex needs, including Autism/ASC, Severe Learning Difficulties, and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. This welcoming school provides a play-based, sensory curriculum tailored to support each child’s unique development and is renowned for its child-centred approach and commitment to fostering joy in learning.

The Primary SEN Teaching Assistant Role:

As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work in a small class of up to 8 students, providing essential support alongside 2-4 other experienced Teaching Assistants. Working under the guidance of the class teacher, you’ll engage students in sensory activities, support play-based learning, and foster meaningful interactions that help children build their communication, social, and cognitive skills.

Primary S.E.N. Teaching Assistant Key Details:

  • Location: Morden
  • Working Hours: 8:30 am – 3:45 pm, Monday to Friday, term time only
  • Pay: £90 - £100 per day (PAYE)
  • Contract: Direct pay (PAYE), no umbrella companies

Primary SEN Teaching Assistant's Requirements:

  • A genuine interest or personal experience in working with SEN is strongly encouraged.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care, are welcomed.
  • Confidence and willingness to assist with personal care and support in hydrotherapy (swimming).
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude are essential to thrive in this role.
