I am working with a fantastic Social, Emotional Mental Health Primary School based in North London that is seeking for passionate and resilient behaviour mentors to join their team. The school offers education to students in primary through to secondary who are not able to attend mainstream school due to their challenging behaviour and maybe other additional needs. The school are seeking behaviour mentors that can be flexible through the school, the successful candidate will be working within the classrooms, which is up to 6 students. Working 1:1 and within small groups, you will be given a class/child you are based with but at times will be expected to work in other classrooms supporting throughout the school. Even if your experience is informal/voluntary, I want to hear from you! The children you will support will have a variety of needs which can include significant complex behaviour challenges and sometimes associated SEND. Behaviour Mentor requirements: Experience of working with young people with SEND and/or Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties and learning difficulties or experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication Teaching Assistant / Learning Mentor / Youth Worker experience Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships A passion for working with SEND is essential What you can expect as an Behaviour Mentor: Excellent experience and training for aspiring Teachers, Pastoral workers, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Counsellors, and Social Workers The opportunity to make a huge social impact, as a Behaviour Mentor you could change the path of someone’s life! We are working with PRU's (Pupil Referral Unit's) based in Haringey that are seeking passionate and resilient behaviour mentors to join their experienced team. The school offers education to students in primary through to secondary who may be on a short-term or longer-term placement as they are not able to attend mainstream education. This will be due to their challenging behaviour, social, emotional and mental health needs and can be other additional needs.
